Movinga

Discussed several times due to negative experiences during the last move, also with Movinga: We wanted a 12t truck and 4 (!) movers. This was also promised after consultation with the dispatcher. What finally happened? A Polish van, 2.8t. 3 men, one of them drunk. Communication is almost impossible due to a lack of language skills. So not a move in one go as planned and promised, but 2 trips. And only because we transported almost a third of the originally specified amount of furniture ourselves with a car and trailer and my wife had to replace the fourth husband at the point of departure! Movinga's so-called service was actually reachable after several attempts and promised a call back within an hour, which we are still waiting for today, 4 days later! But the bill came immediately. NEVER AGAIN MOVINGA!!!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: €1684

First of all: if you want to move over a long distance, you should definitely read this! I moved from a small town near Koblenz to Offenburg on April 22nd, 2016 (300 km away). Before that, I received offers from many moving companies. Movinga was one of the cheapest. After many positive and some bad reviews were to be read on the evaluation pages, I was a little undecided and asked Movinga about it by phone. I was assured that something can always go wrong at a company that operates throughout Germany. The telephone processing went so well that I was convinced that it would work. Before the day of the move, various agreements were made, my moving goods list was agreed together several times. Regarding the negative reviews, I made sure by phone twice in advance that the reliability really fits. The day before the move, I was confirmed by phone that the moving truck will be in front of the front door between 7:00 and 8:00.
On the day of the move, nobody was to be seen until 8:00 a.m. After a phone call (call back at 8.30 a.m.) I was told that it was 11.00 a.m. At 11.15 a.m. a 3.5 t small truck (at least a 7.5 t was promised) with a Polish license plate drove up. Instead of the 4 moving helpers (confirmed by phone) came a poor German speaking Pole and an English speaking African. Both were very nice, but the language barrier was a real handicap. In the first conversation by telephone, after reading the reviews that someone had already had this problem, I addressed exactly this topic. I was assured that one of the removal specialists would definitely speak perfect German. Ultimately, at 4.30 p.m. (we wanted to have unpacked at the destination for a long time), the two men managed to play Tetris with my furniture until everything was somehow stowed away. The truck was completely overloaded and when we asked the contact mobile number at 9 p.m. where the truck was, we had to find out that it had broken down and would not come until the next day. In the meantime it was dark anyway - so it wouldn't have been any longer. After I hadn't heard anything at 8 a.m. the next morning, I called Movinga and threatened the police so that I could find out where my belongings are. At 8:30 am it was said "the truck will be there in an hour". At 11.00 a.m. the truck with the blown truck tire turned up. Regarding the damage in the stairwell of the old rented apartment, I am still waiting for a response from Movinga. However, the bill came on time. I can no longer get in touch by phone because suddenly no number works anymore - probably all my phone numbers were put on their blacklist. My conclusion - even after all the positive reviews on the Internet: a move over a long distance is not possible satisfactorily at the price offered by Movinga. It may be that things are going well on short trips - but since the orders are awarded to companies, the only thing left for the long distances at a low price is unsatisfactory performance. What a shame - if my questions had been answered truthfully on the phone, I would have known what I was getting into and I would have had the choice of choosing another company at a higher price.

Moved from storage into new apartment. The move was well organised, the staff were helpful and practical with advise they provided.

The move itself was very good due to the preparation beforehand. The staff were professional and able to navigate problems with ease.

The way they loaded the truck made unloading very smooth and easy. The staff were able to navigate where our items should go and were helpful in moving an item if there was an issue with miscommunication.

We did not require packaging or dismantling furniture as all of this was already done with our furniture in storage. I do wish we had used movinga for the initial move into storage too. As some of our items would have been handled better and not damaged.

I would not hesitate to recommend movinga for future moves and have already told friends who will be moving in the next few months to use their service.

Since I unfortunately had to move at short notice, I was aware that I would have to accept a higher price. The customer service got in touch very quickly and even gave me a small discount and everything seemed very professional from the start.
However, the removal worker or a subcontractor came. The fact that you only get in touch an hour later, that you come an hour later, has already started well.
I don't know where to start .. they didn't have the right tools or enough blankets to protect my furniture. All of my solid wood furniture is scratched, a large mirror broke. And my new mattress was simply placed in the transporter without foil! She's really that dirty - gross. And the worst was ... my moving boxes were placed / stored on the mattress in the new apartment. And when I finally wanted to go to my bed in the evening, I also see why these were stored on it. The mattress is smeared with blood !! And the movers didn't point this out to me !!
In all honesty, this move wasn't worth a penny and I've never seen anything so unprofessional!

The entire removal goods could not be loaded on the move from Lübeck to the north, because a truck that was too small for a 47sqm apartment was sent by a contracted shipping company. A 47sqm has a volume of 23-24 cubic meters and not 16-18 cubic meters. When the move was requested by telephone, no relocation list was created, the only question asked was the size of the apartment. An order confirmation was never sent to me. On the contrary, I had to call for everything. The time was shifted 3 times so that loading took place after 3 p.m. Since it was about 380km from the loading to the final loading location, unloading began around 9.45 p.m. The relocation helpers were reduced from 3 for loading to 2 for unloading. The moving helpers just wanted to finish work and everything happened quickly. It turned out that my move was the 2nd of that day. The removal goods were damaged everywhere and some things were lost. Movinga does not want to know anything about damage regulation although my removal goods are insured with Movinga. So far, endless correspondence with incompetent staff. Each time a new employee would like to have photos that I have already sent x times. Apparently one has to assume that it is only a delaying tactic. I had to have the unloaded removal goods transported from Lübeck to the north on my own account. Again, no compensation from Movinga or an opinion from Movinga. Here Movinga did not fulfill its mandate 100%. It can never be worse. I have never seen a move like this, not once from Spain to Germany.

We moved from Cologne to Schortens, I'm shocked, speechless and very angry. Almost no piece of furniture heals. Everything was simply thrown on top of each other, nothing was attached or covered. The helpers (Romanians, not a word German) trampled on the furniture in the truck (that was awesome), as if they were transporting dirt. It was new, high-quality furniture from NOLTE, ALNO, rufBett, Musterring, etc. The move was a horror and when the truck was fully loaded after 9 hours ... you wanted 900 euros more money than was negotiated because I had the furniture should specify. Otherwise you didn't want to drive off. I had to pay the driver 300 euros on arrival. That is totally dubious. Please don't do this to yourself. These providers really have no idea about moving. This is a rip off. And you don't have any furniture either. This is not a moving company, that's what I call junk disposal. They are confusing something. I'm going to sue this moving company and have my furniture replaced. I will never forget that. Will inform Stern TV. I had so many good offers and unfortunately I just decided on this company. Annoying!

That doesn't work at all .. I even phoned the little hotel during the move, they weren't interested at all, they just wanted more money ..
